When I first started to knit, I was very interested in making garments and accessories. I made many hats, pairs of socks, shawls and cardigans. It was fun, but my success rate was not very high. I have a lot of hand-knit stuff that I don’t wear because I do not like how it looks on me or the yarn is too itchy and I feel too self-conscious to give it away to other people.
So my interest in fashion-knitting has waned, but I still love knitting and crochet. The projects I make right now have one thing in common: color. I love playing with color, experimenting with arrangements. I may go back to knitting pullovers and hats, but right now I am only interested in colorful blankets and shawls. And I am totally ok with that.
